Kiddies fashion

Oh how adorable they are when they are born and being in the process of growing up . When one sees everything in the store they just feel like buying everything. Kiddies clothing have become more complicated than before,an adult cannot distinguish the difference between his or her clothes and kiddies clothes, they are all just the same. Is it a matter of fashion designers being unaware of what to design next for the coming season or is it because they want both parents and kids to look the same ?

Designers should stick to kiddies clothing which includes cartoons and famous dolls such as barbie and Ben 10. This makes it much easier for them to identify and shop for the clothes they want while they are with their parents. Having to design the same kind of clothing as adults is just too much for kids because they cant even play around with those kind of clothes and getting all muddy with them, their parents would tell them how expensive the piece of cloth their wearing is. I know that they are trying to keep the kids trendier and stylish ,but then they must let them grow up first and start stressing about fashion and what to wear at a later stage. Their fashion must be kept simple and straight to the point because to them its all the same they cant see the difference in stylish and normal clothes. Kids use to love their, barbie doll dresses, spider man shorts and t-shirts etc so let kids be kids and enjoy their kiddies wear.

Fashion and Culture

We live in a world that has different kind of cultures. Culture is a very important part of a person,it defines  and makes them who they are. The world that we live in always likes experiencing peoples cultures in a different way such as wearing their traditional clothes, eating their food, speaking their language and getting involved in celabrations that they usually have. It is not a bad thing because they get exposed in knowing how other cultures operate as a whole, and they get to know their cultural lifestyle.

Fashion and Culture is the in thing in our country known as South Africa. We are a cultural diverse nation that allows any individual from any country to be part of us and learn any culture they want. African countries have a variety of traditional clothes that they wear to symbolise their cultures,to them it is fashion.  Fashion to them is not all about money but its about emabracing their cultures, showing off their bright african colours and their style of wearing. What matters most to them is wearing their clothes that they consider as fashion. Their style of cultural clothing is used or worn in different kind of occassions such as runways, wedding celebrations and cultural events. This becomes facinating to peole who are mostly intrested in knowing other cultures and those who are learning about them. People from foreign countries that is SADC countries mostly love wearing their cultural attirres it could be when shopping, working, going to school ect. Their style of wearing includes long dresses, stylish hats and accessories and wearing the full outfit they realli look good and stunning. To them this defines who they really are and that weather its fashionable culture or not they still follow it.

Do you like it big or small...Bag it

www.blogs.babble.com

Trends are taking the world by storm, who would have thought that one day a bag would be a girls most desirable accessory's, Well lets find out. A number of ladies who know the ins and outs of fashion and the latest trends that hit the stores usually know where to find the best bags in town. Bags differ in sizes and designs and each and every individual has their own tastes in bags. It usually depends on a certain individual on what kind of bags  they like,it can be small or big but usually an outfit that one is dressed in gives them the option of what kind of bag should they carry.

It is a known thing that a lady that doesn't carry a bag isn't a lady at all, because a bag defines who you really are. There are different types of bags that we see and use in our everyday life,be it formal bag, casual bag, travelling bag and occasional bag. These types of bags have their own types of occasions, you cant just carry a bag that doesn't compliment that kind of occasion. We all know that a travelling bag is used for travelling and they also come in different sizes,so when travelling one must not always carry the appropriate bag needed in that kind of trip. In special occasion one must always use the small chick bag that compliments her dress to look stunning, they mustn't complicate the whole outfit because it will end up being ruined.

So it is clear that it depends to a certain individual on what kind of bags they prefer and weather they are comfortable or not in them....your choice lies in you bag it!!!

fashion repeats itself

It is usually said that history repeats itself but this time around fashion did. That's one thing that we never bared in mind and we thought that it might never happen but it did. As fashion lovers we don't see or realise that the clothes and trends that we are wearing nowadays were once worn in the olden days by our great grand parents. We always buy and not notice that this was once worn by some of our late grand parents but if we go check it out in the old wardrobe full of un used clothes will find it.

Vintage wear www.manydesign.net
Fashion is a very diverse thing around the world but question is why are we going back to the old fashion that our grandmothers worn back in the days?are fashion designers out of ideas?or its just history repeating itself? A lot of clothes that we as the youth of today wear is usually idolised by our parents, our parents can pick up an outfit for us because they know how well this fashion goes as they used to wear it back in the days. Its funny how we wear vintage clothing yet our parents have grown out of it and adapted to the new style,to us its fashion but to them its old stuff and it doesn't show any interest. Fashion has been repeatedly repeating its self from you're vintage clothing which includes Baggy pans, blouses, stud earrings, chiffon dresses etc. Colour blocking has also taken over the world even though its not necessary in other outfits, people are just murdering it and its not on. Fashion is something that should be creative, funky and fun and its suppose to suit every personalty. If we keep on going back to the olden days do we think that this kind of style will suit everyone or not. Who knows what will be next?

Fashion credit goes to........

It has been said that credit is mostly given to people who don't deserve it, so who really deserves the credit in the fashion industry? This is a continuous process that happens in our everyday life where you find that people are mostly credited for someone else's good work. Who can you consider to be the most important person in the fashion industry, is it fashion designers or the people who sew the clothes? We often ask ourselves where do clothes come from and how do they go about designing them and are fashion designers sure that people will love the clothes that are designed by them. People are different and have a different style in clothes designed by fashion designers. Well i have to agree that they both play an important role when it comes to fashion  because they make sure that they produce the best clothes that one can wear and they are also able to follow up the latest fashion trends that come and go. Getting to know the good work behind this depends on them because they have to make sure that the final product expected by people needs to be there,be seen,be bought and be worn.

So who would you consider to be the best in the industry?

Green Fashion

                                                    www.vodacomdurbanjuly.co.za/images/
Think red..... Love green that was the theme of this year's Durban July. It was nothing but one of the best events held where a lot of people got to showcase a series of fashion trends. Celebrities, people from around the world and other people who love being in the fashion scene were all gathered together to have fun in the racing course and compete against each other with the fabulous dresses, suits and gowns that were worn in the event.

Well not only this years main focus was on the gowns and suits but it was on the green side of fashion. We all know that when we mention green we think about nature and the environment with regards to recycling, reusing etc. People were given the opportunity to be creative and design outfits for the Durban July in recycled material and guess what, they did it.They used a number of recyclable materials that were different and they made something of it.  People looked fab and stunning in those outfits, a competition was held and the best dressed person was given a prize. So its pretty clear that fashion is not only about the perfect fabric but it can be also about the best picked recycling material and how one puts it together,Green Fashion it is.....
